They always say that some people will remember a brief moment of kindness forever- and it’s true. We live in a world that is so based on self absorption and a lack of empathy that we notice when people are kind and genuine.
We notice when you watch someone live to see others happy and the genuine urge for someone to just “be okay.” You watch as someone self criticizes their own set to death but thrives off of watching others do well the next day because he wants them to succeed. He isn’t looking at things with unnecessary jealousy- he’s happy because they’re happy- and THOSE are the souls we protect.
Those are the people that need to be reminded and told “I see you while you’re busy seeing everyone else and you’re not alone.”

To the boy that took my picture almost 4 years ago- thank you for reminding me that I matter, and for saving me for the 3rd time and thank you for giving me the opportunity to take the picture of you, in the jersey we bought standing next to each other.
Thank you for showing me that my kindness is not a waste.
