they say catch flights, not feelings. I did both.
so today, I ordered a regular mimosa and a bacon flight and I’m going to drive out of Colorado, a place we almost made our own, where I felt the most pain and happiness with what little self respect I have and do what I’ve been asked to do for months and let someone leave me. I’m driving away without an extra number of wasted wishes and failed attempts at forcing a person to never have existed but trying to keep the lessons you learned.
at least I learned about myself, and I would truly rather exist alone contently than settle for a love less than that.

rip to the girl with her head in the clouds that thinks food is worth dancing for, but people aren’t because her fear was bigger. To the one who would make anyone feel included because she was so excluded and ignored, that she forgot what way her moral compass was pointing when things got scary and dark and she felt lost. rip to the girl that was kind and blind.
& here’s to learning that intention doesn’t matter.
Borrowing trouble is just that… it comes back around, and it’s done on both sides.
rip to the girl that’s scared of what she wants with what woke up her soul she didn’t know she had.
She was someone’s worst year and they were her favorite.
at the end of the day, she’s just a girl getting up from a bar alone and walking herself home
